How does the Laser Skin Tightening treatment work?

The laser creates a high-density light that penetrates deep into the skin tissue where it delivers a controlled amount of targeted heat. It stimulates collagen and elastin production in the dermal layer of the skin to firm the skin and reduce skin sagging and wrinkling.

How many treatments will I need?

We advise that clients will require up to 10 treatments to see results. We have packages of 6 & 10 treatments you can purchase at discounted prices.

How far apart should I have the treatments?

Ideally 2 weeks apart for faster results. Three weeks would be the maximum time to leave between treatments.

When should I start seeing results?

Results can be seen within 4-5 treatments, although results can vary as each individual produces new collagen at a different rate.

What about maintenance once I have finished my course of treatments?

We advise either a regular treatment once a month or top up treatments every 3-6months.

Are there any precautions to take after having a treatment?

You can follow your normal skincare regime. It is safe to treat the skin which has had sun exposure as the laser does not target pigment.

Is the treatment painful?
              
There is some discomfort with the laser, best described as a warm flame against the skin. When this heat feels uncomfortable a cold compress is applied to the skin and a different area is treated.

Are there any side effects from the treatment?

Normal side effects may include redness and swelling which can last from a few hours to 24 hours. Your skin will look a little flushed but tends to settle down quite quickly. If you have any problems post treatment that you are concerned about, please contact the Clinic.
